Husband is the head of the family and Wife is the neck that turns the head around!!!
It is strange how many times, without realization, one might have crossed path with the person they are going to marry even before meeting them. We might have had similar share of such unknown instances back in Kathmandu. This is the very definition of "so close, yet so far". We had to meet only after travelling 6,000 miles away to Ruston, Louisiana in the fall of 2010.
This is not a story of love at first sight. In fact, we were not that fond of one another to start with. However, our research work started to bring us together. We realized within a year that one of us is yin to other one's yang. We compliment each other's strength and weaknesses. The realization of love blossomed due to a 3 month hiatus in the summer of 2011, when Sujit left for a job. The attachment from that point on has been magical and after all these years, it still remains the same.
Since then, we have had a fair share of long-distance relationships to maintain due to studies and work. But finally we are together. However by no means, this is the end to our story, but is the dawn to a brand new chapter in the book of life spawned by merging two souls into one.
"A great marriage is not when the 'perfect couple' comes together. It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences."
